Exfoliating Treatments

Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning, or blading, is an exfoliating treatment that provides an alternative to chemical peels or microdermabrasion and is a good choice for anyone who has fine facial hair, extremely sensitive skin, redness or rosacea, or visible facial veins.  The dermaplaning treatment is done by an experienced aesthetician who uses a blad to gently exfoliate the outer layer of dead skin cells and remove the fine facial hair commonly known as “peach fuzz.”  A noticeable improvement is immediate with smoother texture and fresh skin appearance.  Hair returns softly and will not become coarser because of the treatment.  Even skin care products penetrate the skin better following this treatment.

Microdermabrasion

Medical grade microdermabrasion can be used to treat many skin conditions, such as sun damage, age spots, superficial pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, enlarged or oily pores, blackheads and whiteheads, and acne scars.  Microdermabrasion removes the outermost layer of the epidermis and improves penetration of the topical treatments prescribed, leaving your complexion fresh, vibrant and exceptionally smooth.  For best results, we recommend a series of six to twelve treatments.  This number of consecutive treatments is necessary to achieve a complete turnover of the skin.
