Cellulite Treatment in Johnson City
Cellfina is a nonsurgical procedure used to reduce the appearance of cellulite. It’s a minimally invasive procedure. The procedure doesn’t require surgery or general anesthesia. Cellfina uses a microblade technique to target cellulite on the thighs and buttocks.
1. Cellfina® Targets Cellulite From Within
Cellfina specifically targets the collagen fibers under the surface of the skin, loosening their hold over bulging tissues to smooth the surface over and firm skin from within.
2. Cellfina® Results Last for Years
One of the best advantages is its proven effectiveness. It was cleared by the FDA in 2015. Since that time, nearly 98 percent of patients have reported being satisfied with their results.
3. Cellfina® Treatments Are Done Quickly
The process might sound invasive, but treatments can be completed remarkably fast. There is no need for any anesthesia or much preparation beforehand.
4. Cellfina® Has Little Downtime and Few Side Effects
One of the best advantages is that there is very little downtime involved. There will be some soreness and bruising in treated areas right after, but any symptoms should quickly fade away.
Preparing for Cellfina
Cellfina is a minimally invasive nonsurgical procedure, so you won’t need to prepare much. Good candidates for Cellfina include those who:
• are between 20 and 60
• have a stable weight
• have minimal skin laxity, or looseness
Prestige Aesthetics can help you decide if you’re a good candidate. We can also help you set realistic expectations about how the treatment can address your needs.
How does Cellfina work?
Cellfina best targets dimple-type cellulite. The procedure has only been cleared by the FDA for treating cellulite in the thighs and buttocks.
Connective tissue called fibrous bands cause cellulite dimples in the skin. These bands connect your skin to tissue underneath. The fibrous bands can pull some skin in, causing the surrounding fat to bulge. This can create small depressions, or cellulite dimples, throughout the area.
Cellfina technology is based on a procedure called subcision. Subcision can also treat scars and wrinkles. The technology uses a device the size of a needle to treat the connective bands just under your skin.
On average, it takes about one hour for every 25 dimples. Results in the treated areas may be seen in as little as three days and can last up to three years. According to a prospective, multicenter U.S. study of 55 patients, one Cellfina treatment improved the appearance of cellulite in 98 percent of people two years after they had the procedure.

What can cause cellulite?
The root cause of cellulite is still undetermined. However, there are many different components that may correlate with it such as:
- Weight Loss
- Genetic Factors
- Hormonal Contraceptives
- An idle lifestyle
While there are many factors that may play a role in the formation of cellulite, the overall appearance cannot go away on it’s own. Many try changing their diet or exercise in hopes of reducing the appearance, yet still see no difference. Thankfully there is a solution, with Cellfina.
How does Cellfina treat my cellulite?
Cellfina is a one-time procedure that is minimally invasive. Cellfina works differently than lotions and scrubs by directly treating the source of the problem found underneath the skin. The device breaks apart the fibrous bands causing the dimple appearance commonly found on the thighs and buttocks.
How can I expect to feel after the procedure?
Cellfina is minimally invasive, so there may be some slight uncomfort felt during the treatment. However there may be some side effects following the procedure. Some recipients report slight bruising, along with soreness from the treated areas.
These symptoms do surpass quickly. Many patients go back to their day to day activities shortly after being treated.
How long will it take to see my results?
Many have expressed seeing results as soon as three days after being treated. Cellfina is the first cellulite treatment that is FDA approved, and many report their results lasting a minimum of 2 years, with the effects improving overtime.
